Kitchens and Bathrooms

Shower, new cooker circuit, downlighters and power points… we do exactly what’s needed to make your new kitchen or bathroom work as you planned. We liaise closely with your kitchen or bathroom fitter to make sure everything fits into neatly into place.

Lighting – inside and out

Whether you are looking for new lighting indoors or in the garden or security light, we provide the knowledge and skills so you get the effects you expected.

Without the right lighting in particular can be tricky to get right as well as unsafe. Problems range from lights that are too dim to dangerous issues where transformers changing high voltage mains electricity to low voltage for lighting circuits have not been connected properly

We also install security lighting, so no-one can approach the house unseen – and you don’t have to fumble for your keys in the dark.

Smoke and Fire Alarms

Mains smoke alarms are now compulsory in new homes, because battery powered alarms are unreliable. Few people remember to check the battery regularly, and, as a result, batteries run out and the alarm doesn’t go off even when a real fire starts. Mains alarms give you peace of mind without the need for weekly battery checks. Not only are they far more dependable, they are also linked. Wherever the smoke is, you will hear your nearest alarm.

Systems can be hard-wired or wireless (for up to 12 units), so you don’t need to have any extra trunking in the house.

For landlords renting rooms out in houses with three or more floors, we also install complete fire alarm systems. All systems come with a free one year warranty.

Outbuildings

If you need power to a garden room, shed or garage, it’s definitely a job for a professional. We’ll run mains and low voltage cables safely to where they have to go, making sure that everything is correctly earthed and protected by appropriate fuses and circuit breakers. We can also install full security systems to help keep all your buildings and possessions safe.

Re-wiring

With our expertise in rewires you can be confident your work is going to be done safely and will satisfy your requirements. We wire up and install almost anything what is required: aerial points, security alarm systems, DATA points, speaker wiring, door entry systems, CCTV and more…

We will talk with you about your requirements, will give If your house has black cables going into the consumer unit, metal conduits to lights or sockets, or round pin plugs, it needs rewiring urgently. Old installations are now likely to be hiding an increasing number of dangerous weaknesses as the rubber cabling decays. We replace these with long-lasting modern PVC-insulated wiring to make your home safe.

Ten year Testing

Even in your own home, you should have your electrical circuits tested by a professional electrician every ten years. Nothing lasts forever, and problems can creep in without you being aware of them. We’ll run a series of tests to give you peace of mind.

Working with Landlords

We fix problems, undertake routine checks and provide advice and guidance to landlords. From odd jobs to regular inspections, you can count on us to make sure your tenants are safe and you are not running any risks with the law. We also provide smoke alarms, and, for houses in multiple occupation, full fire alarm systems.
